Pac 12 not expanding -> less places for Big 12 teams to exit to -> more Big 12 stability -> less likely to dissolve -> more likely to invite members to beef up strength

Pretty much what I was thinking.  Except, if they add, how does that affect Texas and Oklahoma?  Doesn't that allow them to leave early?

I wouldn't doubt it... This headline screams to me that the alliance is giving the Big 12 time to save itself and be viable, and if they do it, they'll join it. If they don't get commitments by (x) date..... Then they'll come in and take the conference apart. It's a smart move by the alliance to be honest

At this point I think the Big 12 teams stand pat until OU and Texas are officially leaving then send out 4-6 invites. It's now or never time for our fanbase to show up, and we all know that's only happening if theirs a product worth showing up for

Hope it is 6 invites…we also increase our odds if KU and WVU find a new home. Of course that waters down the conference should we play in it.
