What does Dave Wannstedt say?

He has a roadmap on getting from the AFC East to the Big East.

Any conference willing to take UCF is not a conference worth joining, I prefer something with standards and that sounds pretty déclassé

Question Mark What GIF by MOODMAN

so should we go independent? We’re already in the same conference…… Do we step down to sun belt to avoid them, or are we going to the SEC?

F that I am just glad to see our name mentioned somewhere…anywhere…at this point.

If you have to ask that of @puc86, then you have not been paying attention

Interesting I’ve never really thought about going independent but since you brought it up…. I choose

Here is a little tidbit that I was completely unaware of (taken from an article in The Athletic). I think we have the answer for the sudden and somewhat unexpected announced change in the CFP format. If it changes before 2023, ESPN holds exclusive rights to renegotiate. Man, they are ruthless!

"It's believed at least two of Alliance conferences are concerned about ESPN's growing stranglehold on college sports and are interested to see the CFP go to the open market in 2026, allowing more media partners to get involved, rather than expand earlier in 2023, which would give ESPN exclusive negotiating rights."

I guess What’s 3 more years?

ESPN coverage is so bad, I hate the cutaways to talk about other teams CFP implications, I hate the personalities, I hate that politics has entered a sports channel.

Their streaming service is subpar for a paid service. Hulu live has their **** together. I wouldn’t mind seeing Hulu, Netflix, HBO plus signing some deals for conference/team rights.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
