And away we go…again…

Our Power games just got reduced…

I still think all this walling off will ultimately kill the game.

Yeah these huge top 30 FBS schools think they are the reason college football is successful. Once they separate from the bottom 100 they'll realize being the premier teams in a sport with 130 fanbases is the reason they are so popular. When they completely separate and those other 100 fanbases just stop watching a division of football their team isn't in those premier teams won't be so premier.

At this point I just hope those remaining 100 schools left behind really commit to regional conferences and build organic rivalries and that division of college football  can have all the qualities that made the sport great. While the super conferences basically become a minor league for the NFL.

100% agree. True college football fans will follow their respective teams. There are only 6-10 "top" schools and I personally don't give a rats butt what they do. I don't watch them on tv. I'll follow USF no matter what conference we're in or what teams we play each week.

GO BULLS!

What if the SEC creates some kind of pact with the G-5 and stops scheduling the pac/big/ACC schools, outside rivalry games? Then espn would have to rewrite their narrative and rework their money.

The SEC is going to do whatever they think will make them the most money.  They don't care about the "game", the other conferences or those conference's fans.   It is all about the $$$$$$

Well said, like many others here, I will watch USF religiously, my kids schools in passing and don’t watch any SEC at all, doesn’t do anything for me.  It really is all about my team and have no interest in most of the other teams unless I have a wager on the game which is not often.

Agreed However not sure their plan will prove to be the most lucrative, time will tell.

The alliance would also seek to control playoff expansion and potentially take away some TV power from ESPN.

Well, if you can't burn them to the ground, I guess that's ok.

I'd assume Wannstedt is plugged in enough that these sources are legit.

OK State & Kansas State to the Pac 12

WVU to the ACC

Iowa State and Kansas to the Big 10

Not sure who WVU would join the ACC with, Cincy or Notre Dame I suppose. But this would leave Texas Tech, TCU, and Baylor without a home. I'd assume this would be a good scenario for us

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
