First off Coastal Carolina is in the Sun Belt…not an independent. In terms of skewing data, you are are suggesting that we can be like ND and BYU only because they are independent. There is more to it than just giving a title of independent and things magically happen. Both of those programs have multi million dollar contracts, decades of successful experiences, huge alumni bases, etc. are you simply ignoring the reality of those variables in order to maintain the term “independence” as an auto success? If this was a thesis it is incomplete and omits a variety of viable variables. Although I don’t have the time nor the inclination to do this, the data on the AAC is available and any good business person doing research will use this data not subjectively.

You don’t make business decisions based on things you only do because you are legally required, you do what’s in your best interest and then do the bare minimum that is legally required

You make “significant” business decisions based on marketing research, qualitative analysis, and budgetary viability. Do all of those 100% well and you have a 30% chance of success.

That’s my bad, close enough. I’m suggesting that there are Alabama’s and Vanderbilts in the SEC, in the B10 there is a Rutgers for every OsU, Byu is such a year in and year out power house that CCS was able to beat them and even the AAC has to have some teams that are seen as good to balance out the rest of the conference so why in this sample of 7 where two would be removed and all others despite obvious disparities?

What P5 teams are scheduled to play AT Liberty?!?!?

7 in the next 11 years with no more than one in any given year ..... and just for ***** and giggles, NMSU has 0 P5 home opponents and 6 P5 away games scheduled for the next 9 years.

I’d like to model not firing Leavitt followed by going independent as a successful BCS team. Dropping out of the AAC now is sort of irrelevant seeing what has happened to the program.

I count three…and are you really going to lump ND and BYU with the idea we can be like them?

Why is he lumping ND in there at all? They do have a conference affiliation thereby separating them from the rest ...

Well you can keep them but to assume that USF is in that classification in terms of quality and history is erroneous.

Pac-12 Commissioner George Kliavkoff spoke with the Review-Journal about the state of college athletics, including the future of his conference, which could be expanding.

Oh boy, the Big 8 to be split amongst the remaining P3, and then an alliance is formed. Shocker
