SEC more than likely going to a 9 or 10 game conference schedule. Does our Bama series stay intact?

Would think it would if Texas/Oklahoma join after 2023 and both remaining games would be in Tuscaloosa.

Well right now “it appears” that there are 3 to 4 leftovers that no other P5 conference wants. Of course, that could change if they all hang together but that’s a hard ask for OSU, KU, and WVU if they get offers. But really what P5 would want ISU, KSU, TT, TCU, and Baylor?

MWC? TCU was once part of that.

I could legit see a scenario where, B12 remainders stand pat, B1G and PAC merge top halves, then the remaining B12/PAC/some MWC merge.

It could easily be the best of AAC, Fun Belt, MAC coming together also. That is a terrible possibility (also, maybe a stretch?).

You forgot to mention the top half of the ACC when their TV deal is done.

No MAC schools please. Wouldn't mind snagging UAB and Georgia State if we decided to expand with some regional opponents. Schools of over 20,000 students in big urban areas crazy about football. Would make it easier for our conference to recruit Bama+Georgia too.

Baylor won the National Championship in basketball a couple mos ago, new football stadium, building a new 105 million basketball arena, good school, great med school, rich alumni and large endowments.  I would agree with Iowa State and Kansas State but don’t **** on the other Texas schools, they got some swagger *****.

CFBTICKETS-16X9.png

We used data from VividSeats to map where college football game tickets are being sold.

Interesting to play around with, does use ticket sales from 2012-2018 though. But interesting to see how the remaining 8 schools from the Big 12 all kind of dominate their local area. While all the AAC schools play second fiddle to some bigger state school. We should be grateful if any of them decide to join our conference, they would instantly be #1 in ticket sales

Baylor's fundamental religious views are an impediment to inclusion with the Pac-12, at least from what I have heard. It may be the reason that BYU has never been seriously considered by the Pac-12 either.

You may be right, have heard that about BYU because they are really extreme, did not realize Baylor is anywhere near that level.  They party like rock stars, bunch of rich spoiled kids, no different than a USC.  But don’t really care and would rather have them in our conference so I could drive a couple hours and watch them play our team.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
