In the last round of conference realignment, TV markets ruled the day. Now, it’s all about the size of a school’s football fan base.

Guy used recent studies in attendance, market size/share, valuation, and social media following to rank programs on how valuable they are. Notable ones for our sake:

BYU #39, UCF #56, Boise #62, USF #65, Memphis #69, Houston #70, Cincy #71, SMU #73

Doubtful this is how conferences are viewing it as I think Cincy seems like a more attractive option than Memphis for sure. But nice to see something based on numbers alone and no bias rank USF ahead of 4 foes in realignment even given our recent stretch.

There would be no way that anyone would take USF alone or ucf alone. They are not going to create a Florida island for a school. The Big12 did this for WVU and did not like it. They will take both or none at all.

I agree as well, you can package the road trips and the fans would like it as well.  If you are going to Fl might as well get a two for one in the other sports.  Very attractive road trip for visiting fans and this doubles the pleasure.  Don’t think it will happen but if it does this is the only feasible option IMO.
