Just as prevalence doesn't matter if you don't have a sizable market.

What these opposing fans who talk about the market keep overlooking is these past few years is USF at its worst while UCF/Cincy are at their best, and attendance still is comparable. The people making this decision factor in everything. #'s matter more to these conferences than the fact that we play in an NFL stadium so it looks empty unless there are 50k+ people, while with UCF and Cincy's stadium 35k makes the stadium look full.

And that change has been demonstrated or communicated by whom?

Yahoo Exclusive: No. 1 overall recruit Quinn Ewers tells @yahoosports he’s “leaning” toward skipping senior HS year and attending Ohio State. Ewers could then sign NIL deals worth nearly seven figures, which aren’t allowed in Texas for high school players. https://sports.yahoo.com/will-americas-

Such short memories . . . Sports are cyclical. Give it a few years and the pendulum will swing again, and again, and again. Neither of our programs are positioned to maintain a certain level of success. We will both have peaks and valleys. Unfortunately for us, it’s their peak and our valley at the moment. It’ll change. Write it down. The downside for us is we always have to compete with the pro franchises in our market. They don’t have that issue. That said, we need Jeff Scott to be what we hoped he would be when we hired him. We can’t afford another miss.

Other than "The people making this decision factor in everything."  Nothing else that you wrote is actually true.  USF attendance is nowhere near comparable to UCF and Cincinnati.

The lower bowl of RJS (which is what you use unless a bunch of UF/FSU/Miami fans are filling the rest of the stadium) doesn't hold that many more people than UCF's stadium.  You can clearly see a difference in actual attendance.

You’re winning. You’ll draw fans. We’re not. We won’t draw fans. Wait a few years and it’ll swing again. It’s the sports cycle. UCF is not Nebraska or South Carolina where the fans will show up regardless of the record. There were tons of empty seats in that erector set just a few years ago.

The last year before covid Cincy averaged 35k a game and USF averaged 32k a game. and I said "looked full" not "is full" but I guess I should cut your reading comprehension some slack since you went to UCF

Not demonstrated by anyone since there has been no realignment for a decade. But many national sports writers talk about it...and they have contacts in college athletics and the TV world.

Interesting high level view of TV viewership, but there are two significant factors that can skew the results.  The numbers don't take into account the day/time of the telecast and the network that the game was on.

If those factors are taken into account, it might be possible that Cinci had better TV results than Memphis.

That’s a very good point

I do like how quickly everything is going off the rails at least.  It only took 5 minutes.
