So is the AAC planning to lose a couple teams?  Otherwise, I see no reason to add these teams.

We have to replace Uconn, and I guess we add 2 after that to balance things

Easy, those are two schools who have a legitimate chance to represent the G5 in a NYD bowl (or expanded playoffs)...if they are in the AAC that is more $ for the conference. UNLV has zero chance due to a number of factors. Now, they may get better but they are not on the level of the other two relative to potential championship.

Which is a fair point...why give those schools a lifeline when we are dominating in NYD appearances now.

Kinda my thoughts. From a USF perspective, why bring in even more competition, especially ones 3 time zones away, to get through ........ unless they add a whole lot of value elsewhere.
