We won a National Championship in swimming at USF and closed down the program 2 years later, these non revenue sports are irrelevant.  Yes I am a die hard fan and I want every USF team to win but that doesn’t mean I will care enough to even watch them so I would imagine most of the rest of the world has little interest as well.

This. If I was a parent I would care but as an alumnus there are only two sports that matter. Unfortunately we suck at these.

Not sure your fascination with this school, while they are better right now in football, I still would argue we have a better basketball team, we have both had one common opponent, Wofford, we beat them and they lost to them.  I am not sure nor do I care about WBB, soccer, golf, baseball, sailing  or whatever other irrelevant sport we both share, there are 2 majors and the rest don’t really matter unless you are playing one of them.

Who would have thought it would have started with us as a college football big boy plotting our jump to another power conference and is ending now with us quibbling over if we have a better athletic department than Coastal Carolina and looking up at numerous sunbelt teams and coming off a winless FBS season only 8 short years later.  Our high is debatable but we all agree the fall has been crushing.

I guess it's debatable but when this thread was started I find it hard to call us a college football big boy and in a power conference. We were a drowning rat trying to find our way to a lifeboat off the Titanic ..... and the first several pages gave a glimpse into the awesomeness this thread was going to turn into:
