It is a tad more difficult to get into Army (at least I have heard that).

Army does not have the NFL waiver rule like Navy so even if someone is great they still have to serve the 4 years.

I have also heard Army cannot recruit larger players...yet somehow Navy does.

Ok, it makes more sense now. I figured same recruiting rules applied to all service schools.

One the AAC gets raided and USF is left behind, what is the better conference for USF to try and join and hopefully compete in?

  • Conference USA
  • Sun Belt
  • FBS Independence
  • FCS Independence

Going down in conference strength is not the answer, because by going down a level, you bring in lower level recruits.  It's not like we'd be able to recruit the same level of talent if we, for example, dropped to the FCS.  Jeff Scott is actually recruiting halfway decently this year (near the top of AAC), could he do this if USF was in the Sun Belt, CUSA, or even FCS...doubtful.

There will be no expansion between P5 programs so this is moot.

Don’t humor him, he is simply trolling and relishing in our misfortune, it is like feeding the seagulls, fun for a moment but you will eventually regret it.

It’s a silly question. Musical chairs is over and the AAC will not have teams leaving.

Last week you stated BYU and Cincy were going to the big 10, are you going schizo?

If you are saying that when someone changes their opinion on a message board is schizo then this whole board would be the cast from the movie One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. But seriously, let me “rephrase”...IF exapansion should happen it would be cincy and BYU...but I would be willing to bet that expansion does not even occur. It’s fun to talk and guess about it. But like some crazy Texan I know said, it’s about the $.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
