I guess posts related to what is truly driving conference expansion are subject to being deleted. Brad Jung Un, can you elaborate on where the guardrails are?

For anyone paying attention, this thread has been about conference expansion rumors, possibilities, etc.  It has not been about the demonization of the NCAA as a criminal element that profits off slavery (or whatever you were contending).  That sort of hyperbole deserves a topic of its own or none at all really.

So you can get back on topic and cease your comments regarding me.  It is settled.  I appreciate your interest.

I'm sorry. I will just post about relevant expansion topics such as Publix Subs. Is that allowed on this thread, because I've seen it mentioned about a half dozen times already?

I think you consider yourself to be a smart man.  We'll go with that.

Sorry Brad, I was poking brybull bear.

No reason that I can see for the B-12 to expand especially this year.  The conference realignment every year is about one thing, $$$ (Money).

Are you really butt hurt from getting reprimanded from posting an outrageously provocative ignorant post on comparing slavery to a college athlete?  You don’t need to go overboard to be an ass, your basic posts accomplish that goal.

There alot of people that share that view, but even if there weren't its relevant to post because the NCAA football is a money making scheme built on the back of a young, under-compensated group of minorities. Conference expansion is about monitizing that to a greater degree.

The forces being applied to the NCAA is evidence of just that.

I disagree vehemently that it is a form of slavery or that the compensation for the majority is insufficient.  It is all about money however I just don’t agree amateur athletes deserve anything more than room, board, free tuition, books, tutors etc..those are expenses as well for the school.  I realize others do, but to compare it to slavery is ridiculous IMO.

Just stop brybull.  The fact you think it's slavery is repulsive enough.

Secondly, whatever "the system" we can agree realignment and expansion is related to money.  Most things are.  That's a basic premise of the arguments in the thread, i.e. TV money, att, merch, etc.

The story is as full of holes as your argument.  Flawed logic by a knucklehead.

Quote

Carter told an audience that became rapt with her words by the heartfelt quiver in her voice, “but it’s with a system like the only system that I have ever seen, where the laborers are the only people that are not being compensated for the work that they do, while those in charge receive mighty compensation.

“The only two systems that I’ve known that to be in place,” she said, “is slavery, and the prison system. And now I see the NCAA as overseers of a system that is identical for that.”

Still, go ahead on brybull.  Make your point.  It seems your outlandish claim is important to you and quite trendy.  Knock yourself out.

Try reading a little. You don't have to agree with a different point of view, but you shouldn't erase it.

There you go being brybull.

You've submitted as evidence a comment made by a moron and it supports your case.  Continue.  The floor is yours.

Carter's mom is a knuckehead.  Did you read the article?  Her comments?  Quoted them for you.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
