The thought of losing to them is unbearable to me, I would prefer never to play them again either.

I was guessing Doug.  I still remember when he was the head coach at Rutgers in the mid 90’s and I had a parlay that involved PSU and Rutgers ( a night game at Giant stadium).  We had won the earlier games and needed PSU to cover however they had the ball on their side of the field with a minute or so left and up around 14, so I assumed they would run the clock out however Joe Pa throws a bomb for a TD and covers the spread.  Doug was shaking hands with Paterno and told him off and Little Joe was trying to wiggle out of the handshake while telling him to eff off.  Great memory, I asked Graber about it years later on sports radio if he thought Joe was covering the spread for the alumni and he dodged the question.  Doug was a really goofy TV analyst however always kind of liked him for some reason.

This conference realignment version of D&D is pretty interesting but what incentive would the rest of the P5 have for making that revamped AAC part of a P6 reality? It would definitely put more separation between the rest of the G5 but reality would be G5.5 stickers rather than P6 ones ...

Almost true.

However it will no longer be purgatory at that point because there will be no moving up. It will be Hell!
