lol who else would win it? But they do love their Bison. The Fargo Dome is a top 5 home field experience/advantage in college football at any level.

Yeah they are passionate and have a good following.  As far as inviting them to the AAC like somebody else suggested......MEH!

The addition of any schools that does not include a Virginia, Missouri, or Dakota school is a nonstarter.

-Virginia keeps the conference east coast heavy and makes travel easy

-Missouri because it’s a bridge if you really want to go west why not

-Dakota because we be adding people and **** so why not

The Dakotas?  I know they have passionate fans and Im no expert on population.  But how much more exposure does that really give us?

If you are to go that far away north west, why not just take Boise and the other Western "known" teams mentioned.

C. Austin Cox posted that BSU has been in touch with two conferences in the last 24hours about moving their Olympic sports there. Something is brewing.

why would a conference want their olympic sports only?

that is like going out with the hotest girl on the campus and not having sex

They were lower level conferences. Maybe travel partner or press.

Going independent is not an option for Boise State:

  • They don't have the national following that their closest peer - BYU - has
  • Schduling would be a nighmare with less west coast schools to schedule in the back half of the season when everyone is in conference play
  • They would automatically be locked out of the G5 NY6 bowl as the highest ranked conference champion gets that slot

Aresco needs to be doing two things:

  • Talk to Boise State to guage their interest - but do not cut any sweetheart deal to bring them in
  • Talk to SDSU, Air Force, Colorado State and/or Utah State about joining

He just had a gift dropped into his lap - let see what he does with it.

Of course their extra money from the MWC is guaranteed until 2006. So my bet is Boise waits until then, determines if they are getting P5, then if not, look to the AAC.

If we are looking to add Boise State as a football member we should really consider adding 4 more members out west to be the first 16 team conference. I would offer Boise State full membership along with San Diego State, and either Colorado State or Utah State, and Aif Force or Army as a football only member.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
