If the Big 12 continues the way it is, it won't be around much longer, i.e. The Big East (football).  Currently, the PAC-12 is in a bit of trouble, where do you think they'd look for new teams?

We had them when the Big East was a BCS conference.  If the Pac-12 take Texas and Okalahoma (and whom ever might tag along), the Big 12 would have a tough time remaining a, "Power" conference.

Just found this article. I mentions if the BIG 12 expands they should take both ucf and usf as a package to get into the state of florida.

UC+Memphis is link to WVU, FL recruiting, TX+OK to PAC, etc.

What's your best guess as to what teams will be in the Big 12 five years from now and why?

Cowlishaw: Five years might be enough time for them to circle back around and consider that they made a mistake the last time they asked for applications and then didn't add anyone. You can't do it right away, other schools are still unhappy with the last process. But five years from now, let's give them Central Florida and South Florida as they expand their footprint and recruiting territory.
