Agreed. This is the double edged sword the NFL took on when they took federal money for public displays of patriotism in 2009. NFL teams used to stay in the locker room and no one cared. Now they're out there kneeling and everyone is angry at each other. A college team needs the distractions and controversy even less.

Exactly. I'm guessing There are plenty enough students and alumni in the area that are also college football fans that selling 40k tix per game should be a snap

I wish that us and UCF being good would make the Big 12 regret their decision not to expand, but they have four teams in the top 25 right now. :/

Yes, we’d probably steal more recruits from their beloved big name schools and they wouldn’t know what to do with themselves.
