There is no such thing as a "basketball-only" addition. Under NCAA rules, if you take basketball, you have to take all the other sports which the conference sponsors. Football is the only sport with an exception.

Where have you seen that rule? According to the Wichita Eagle newspaper, WSU has been mentioned by the AAC as a basketball only member and I can't find the rule on any NCAA site. I am finding that many conferences have their own rules saying you have to participate in every sport the conference offers and can place non-sponsored sports elsewhere, but nothing from the NCAA.

Say... Isn't this thread more or less about USF getting out of the lifeboat and onto a ship?

Adding more passengers onto the lifeboat (unless it's Notre Dame or BYU, etc.) is not appropriate for this thread.
