No, I don't think we are. Would it be better if we had P5 money? OF COURSE! Even if it only lasted one year. But ten years from now the entire landscape of college football will be different.

According to those numbers ↑ ESPN has lost, in ten years, 1.26 BILLION dollars.

Also, think about that for a moment. Ten years. I would guess that if USF announces this year that there will be a new OCS, bureaucracy (infrastructure, permitting, plans, etc) would take about two years and then another two years to build it.

2021 best case.
