The Big 12 will miss out on the CFP again this year;

 

and next year doesn't look any better...

 

Will they bring up expansion again? And if we keep Taggart and improve our defense (and maybe win every game), would they take us (w/ Frost's team) like they did TCU?

I'm not sure the dysfunctional dumpster fire, albeit a wealthy one, known as the B12 is capable of reaching a rational consensus with the vastly differing needs of its members. I'd look for OK/TX to block anything that doesn't benefit them and only status quo B12 or them leaving B12 will benefit them. Competitive programs joining the conference will expose them although in the long run make the conference more relevant.

Texas only does what benefits Texas. So it's possible.

I don't think the B12 will look to expand again, probably ever. If I'm not mistaken, they sold off the pro-rata clause. I'd think if they expanded, they'd have to divvy up the existing money and there's no way that's happening.

They may have to if 5 years go by... and zero shots at winning the CFP...

 

Especially if a G5 team EVER took a spot over a Big 12 team (can you imagine the drama)
