If you are USF do you accept the invite  and take the $$ if the Big XII announces that they want USF to join, or do you decline knowing that the future of the Big XII is on strings with the possibility of the AAC replacing the Big XII as a P5 conference?

Okay, let's look at this from an administrator's point of view (people running universities).

(1) They are academics. They think in terms of rules, guidelines, and missions, versus profit margins.

(2) They believe in processes (hence, the invitation to come to Dallas and do the private dance to interview.) The process was like hiring a university faculty.

(3) Everything is secretive and hush-hush.

Reason for expansion: money [TV networks pay]

Reason for no expansion: money [If the TV networks sue and refuse to pay]

*First cards revealed: TV networks offer to pay the B12 not to expand.

Translation: Suing might not work. Might have to pay due to current contracts

Why? They are sticking to a process. And they want to stay true to who they are as academics.

Soooo... If greed doesn't run the game (under the table tactics), I think USF has a legit chance, just like when this thing started.

And if they expand at all, they will go with four schools. It's the most money for the conference.

This is why Tulane is even part of the equation. Certainly, it wasn't about their football prowess!

Okay, I'll hold on to this and believe that it is possible that USF has a legitimate shot...
