Well, there it is. The B12 get what they want (moe money) without doing any work. Hell, that's a dream come true for them.

Here's the logic to what's going to happen (if the TV networks cough up enough money).

(1) The TV networks are going to pay less than what they would have to pay if the B12 expands; the TV networks win.

(2) The B12 top-feeder schools win. They get more money, while they wait it out. And everything regarding the conference stays the same. Those college presidents and their minions will say, "By the time something needs to change again, I'll be retired. Let the next person deal with it then!"

(3) The B12 bottom-feeder schools: the dumb ones, "More money without any work, goody!" The smart ones, "If we don't expand now, my school will be without a conference when the B12 dissolves in the future."

You've got at least 3 schools that will take the money and run. That leaves 7 schools and not enough votes to do anything, as 8 votes are needed.
