From inside the B12, I doubt they are desperate like everyone on the outside sees the reality of their conference.

Remember, they started this whole expansion thing because they saw a chance to get more money from the TV networks while improving their resume for the playoffs. Nothing has changed from this impetus -at least from their perspective, anyway.

So, if they can get the money, they'll go for 4. But it seems like the threat of legal action means they'll have to work for their money (show up in court). They may just fold the tent and say, "Yeah, we're going to go back and wait for a future date to decide."

In many ways, it's like the old Big East. Many of the figure heads never saw what was coming. And these are the idiots who call the shots (at least for their institution and conference). They will scramble but it will be too late when the pooh hits the fan...

Things I would like to see: UF, FSU, and UM decide they don't want to be in the SEC or ACC anymore, and leave in favor of an all-Florida 8-team conference (Stetson football, anyone?).
