Any further narrowing of the candidates???

When this process started we were an afterthought in Big 12 expansion.  Not even mentioned in major articles, while teams like Boise and Memphis were.  Those programs are out of it.  I find it a little gratifying that after all this, we are now always listed among the very final candidates for expansion.  Whatever we did worked to a certain extent.  There may not be any expansion, but I don't think there is any question now, that we are among the final group of 4 or 5 being considered.

Don't be surprised if there is another shocker on Oct 17th and the Big 12 does decide to expand after all.

Not officially, but every article I read recently lists USF, UCF, Houston, Cincinnati, BYU, and UConn as the "final" final candidates, with Houston and Cincinnati (why?) being the leaders.

I was under the impression that BYU is out.  Not officially but just a rumor.

I don't think anybody outside of the process really knows. I don't even think some inside the process know. There seems to be some speculation that if there is no expansion the GOR will be challenged and the conference will implode with UT and OU going to the PAC 12.

One thing I know, the longer the delay, the more it benefits us football-wise. Just please get the deal done before basketball starts up!
