I agree. Either this or there is going to be some problems at the networks. The networks are already hurting. Loss of subscribers leading to some fairly significant layoffs recently. 

In the real world you can't simply add another $80 mil a year to outlay without any new income to offset it.

I feel like we've seen this move before. Several teams will get in, Texas and Oklahoma will depart after the conference is watered down, and another power conference is dismissed from the table. There's no point in splitting profits 5 ways when they're easily divisible by 4.

The reality is no one outside of the decision makers no anything at this point and most likely they don't know what will happen yet. Still a lot if politics going on behind the scenes.

If the Big XII is considering beach umbrella sales when deciding expansion, it appears our friends to the northeast will be left out in the cold.  I went to my local (Tallahassee) Publix yesterday, where about two weeks ago they put these collegiate umbrellas on sale.  They included FSU, UF, Alabama, etc.  Not much demand for umbrellas when your team goes 0-12 I guess!
