Prior to BYU being so vocal, I felt if was going to be Cinci UH USF UCF, now I'm afraid you're probably right.

That is unless the PAC 12 starts to complicate matters. BYU is a better fit for PAC than the Big 12

I'm not saying they will, but...

I can tell you that (for whatever reason) people outside of our geographic area generally think of UCF as the more "known" entity. I've talked with many out-of-state family and friends that (again for some reason) have a positive opinion of UCF. I don't have an explanation for it, but it has held true for me on several occasions.

I am still not understanding where the additional $400 to $800 Mil is going to come from if big NEW markets aren't added.  The conference is not adding teams just for the sake of adding them.  Bottom line this is all about money.  That money is going to be coming from expanded tv rights.  I am not saying Houston doesn't bring anything to the mix, but they are not bring anything new to the mix.  If there is not a cash infusion at some level, either the tv networks are going to feel the financial strain or the conference will.  

 

Anyone that thinks this whole thing over the last ten years is not about money is clueless.  Other than opening up the NY tv market, did Rutgers bring anything to the BIG10?  Same with Maryland?  Both have pretty much been disasters on the field since day 1.   Money from the TV networks are the driver.

I would rank B12 Expansion as follows:

1) BYU

2) Cincy

3) Houston

4) USF

5) UCF

6) UConn

7) Memphis

8) Colorado State

But I also don't know if they would take just one Florida school. And while I have USF above UCF, there is no way to know if the B12 presidents feel the same way. I think they are just too close to split and that is why I think it's both or neither. So I think that we need to hope that BYU doesn't pan out and that they decide to take options 2-5 on my list. But my opinion is worth nothing.

Watch Houston unveil that they are heading west on media.... Minds will be blown. I think they are being flattered by Texas, but not sure they want to be their b¡t*h3s like that.

Doesn't help that USF football the last 4 years before last year was pretty horrible.  If only the expansion was back in 09.
