That makes zero sense... sorry. They Beat UH for players because they are Texas... in Texas. They are in a better conference, they have a better history, etc. Now, if you level the playing field and give UH the same conference, UT will still win 85% of the time, but, UH will steal some guys here and there, just as we have done going up against UF, FSU, and UM.

I just looked at UTs current commitment list and every single one of them is from the state of Texas. Zero from Florida, why would they be afraid of us competing for players when we have a huge talent pool here and they have a huge talent pool there? We swim in our pool, they swim in their's. I don't think they would have any fear of us competing for their recruits. They have too many other schools in their back yard to worry about us. Believe me, we are not going to suddenly abandon recruiting in FL. Also... it may actually help them to be quite honest. When you open up the other Big12 schools to coming to FL, the ones who have historically taken kids out of Texas to fill their rosters, if they start to grab a few guys from down here, it leaves some extra talent in Texas for them to choose from.

As of now, OU has 16 guys committed... 7 from Texas

Kanas has 10, 3 from Texas

Ok St. - 16, 11 from Texas

UH - 18, 16 from Texas

USF - 12 total, 12 from FL

UCF - 15 total, 12 from FL, 0 from Texas

Cannot say how the recruiting went but do remember that after Houston joined the old Southwest Conference they managed to win 4 titles before it was dissolved.  While Texas won more in that time, it shows that Houston can give them a run for the money.

Goldie is just butthurt that someone called out Hitt on his statement that came across as entitled and confident, and that someone compared UCF to ECU.

I wouldn't want to be compared with them either, but that's beside the point.  This is a simple case of UCF fans trying to drag USF fans down to their level.  Move along, nothing to see with Goldie, as usual.

That you know of.  So, you know everything about Judy and all of her connections right?    If you are going to make assumptions, do it in a convincing manor.

True.  I don't know. I just will refuse to believe it. The Big 12 ain't the Big East.  Y'all seriously think the "silence" thing Joey K reported is Genshaft pulling strings?  lol

Who said anything about "pulling strings? Sounds like the kettle/pot/black when you accuse others of spinning things, doesn't it?

As far as JG working her magic behind the scenes, you don't hope Hitt is doing the same thing? For your sake, he's hopefully doing more than just pimping UCF in the media.

Got a link for that?

So this thread has maybe 30 days left, as it looks like a conclusion is soon to come...

USF is too busy crossing the ts and dotting the is with the Big12 to have time to craft media promos.

There is no point or need to put excess external media pressure on our new Big 12 partners since we already have the invite.

Seemed weird to me, too, but same info is in this SI article ....

The argument for adding four schools is simple. Four schools would mean approximately $800 million over the life of the Big 12’s television deal. Two teams would mean about $400 million. When faced with the option of taking more money or less, college presidents almost always take more.
