Gotta hope they take 4. I doubt they  just add the florida schools alone. I think Cincinnati is a lock no matter what. I could honestly see football only BYU and Cincinnati.

I think we're a lock as a package deal with UCF if they decide to add 4. I think the real blessing in all of this is the conference already thoroughly owns the Texas market as a whole with 3 teams in the state. Even with their recent football success I think this fact kneecaps Houston.

If they are talking "upside" it includes both Florida schools. The tv markets and recruiting are the keys.

I agree with footnfan, it's all a gamble. We just have to hope that our stats line up well with what they're seeking. By the tweets, it looks like the criteria suits us for inclusion but with the waning fan support over the past 3 years, you just have to hope they look more at the school as a whole (size/academics/research), market, the athletic talent available in FL, and our overall strength of athletics.

The B12 already knows which schools they are going to add.  The decision on which schools is based on who can help bolster the league's ability to start the B12 Network.  UConn provides a NE presence, while USF/UCF provides a Florida/South presence, and Cinci helps with the Midwest.

This is a money and a defensive play that is why they are making the decision now to expand.

4.  Team competitiveness -  This is not about academics, they can kid themselves all day long.
