Speaking of UCF, this is what they sent to the B12 to help promote the Knats case for inclusion

The B12 still has a bunch of old farts in charge who probably rolled their eyes and talked about how the millenial generation is going to hell.

You may be right, it may have been the 2006 game when he sat, I think in 2006 he sat the whole game for curfew violations.

You are correct.....2006 he sat, not the blowout.

You think O'Liar would sit his best player against USF?

LMAO  that's funny.

Funny how those buttsniffers in Orlando don't want to compare themselves to Tampa because according to Forbes magazine, Tampa is ranked #1

#1 Videogame school? Pft. I used to beat UCF in NCAA '13 all the time. How about this? USF is a Top 10 Cool School AND we have the top mascot, to boot.

Checkmate, Knights.

I agree, I've seen many Pitt falls along the road. I just try not to step in them. :icon_drink:

I love hearing the term football relevance come up, then hear UConn, (a team that we have beat 4 years in a row) Cincinnati, (51-3 halftime lead, 2-1 the last 3 games vs them) and UCF aka little brother (a series that dates back only to 2005, we are 5-2 vs them, with a 62-12 win, and last year, 44-3. Even on UCF's best year, they only managed to win by 3). USF clearly also has the better future when looking at all of these potential candidates outside of Houston as well as being in the most talented recruiting area, and biggest TV market. I really don't understand why the discussion is turned away from us

Read the article, that's 2006, before Kevin Smith became Kevin Smith.  Their backup ran for 98 yards against us in Smiths absence which was the most in a game that year.

I said it's funny that you'd think O'Liar would sit their best player against USF.  Doesn't look like Kevin Smith was that guy yet

Well, he was pretty good, and as I have said, I did  not follow the team then, but he wasn't awful, and he was certainly better than the true freshman that played in his absence who was never heard from again. From the media guide:

His 2,112 rushing yards through two seasons are the most by a sophomore in school history ... Started all nine games he appeared in at tailback and had three of the Top 20 single-game rushing performances in UCF history ... Was named a second-team All-Conference USA performer by the league's head coaches and third-team member by the league's media ... Average of 103.8 rushing yards per game was third in C-USA and his total of 934 yards rushing, ranked sixth

If he had played all 12 games....he may have been more accomplished, but that kind is speculation is just foolish IMO.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
