The big 12 doesn't distribute tier 3 rights. Those are negotiated by individual schools. 

When you hear AAC distributes 2 m it's wrong. This is only the tv portion of revenue.

And by the way only a few schools get 5-7 m in tier 3 rights. Not all do. Think Iowa St gets 5-7m. No. 

 

From what I've read in other Big XII discussions, Iowa State has the lowest payout on Tier 3 rights, and that was in the range of $3-4 million a year. So most of their schools are getting above that, most likely above $5 million a year each

I will feel so much better if we are only getting $23mil less per year than P5 schools.  

 

** Oh sorry, I guess that the Big 12 figure for TV money is $23mil, so we would only be getting $15mil less, or less than one third of the Big 12 per school money.  Yeah, hardly any difference at all.
