Are you kidding me? I think a game between the men and the women would be closer than you think. I don't think the women would be able to win by more than 10.

The fact that you think the women's team can beat them at all kind of proves phanatic's point. The two programs are not in the same hemisphere at this point.

Didn't think it was necessary to denote that the post was sarcastic. It was a shot at the men's team. Head-to-head the women's team would not beat the men, even though it might seem that way with as poorly as they play. The women's PROGRAM is ahead of the men. The TEAM is not.

Kansas must still be Butt hurt from our Big wins over their programs. Our Fb beat them with a FG when we climbed to # 2 IN THE NATION, They came in ranked and we beat them.  Our Women's BB beat them In their Bld to win the Womens WNIT.

I get the article and see right thru it.   Jealous and know we are more deserving of a power conference than them. Scared to play us on a regular basis.

Bring it.

Just for historical perspective. We climbed to #2 in 2007 and didn't play Kansas that year. While we beat them at home we lost to them on the road. And, as mentioned below, the blog is tied to Kansas State. The two big ties between USF and K State are Jim Leavitt and Grant Gregory.

I'd be happy with that because hope is all either of us have.

Agreed. Though it would be an interesting game. The women's team struggles against size, and I think that the men have extremely strong size. If you matched up last year's teams, Jaleel Cousins would probably get blocks 9-10 times against Courtney Williams and the women's team would not win the rebounding battle-that's one thing that the men's team was pretty good at. However, I think Laksa would even it up pretty well with her ability to spread the floor and the women's team has far better ball handling and passing skills.

Usfs team could beat a wnba team.... Athleticism of a man is far superior than the women. Dumb debate here

Too bad you can't say the same for literacy.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
