Expect a formal announcement on the stadium this week

Thanks for the update. That sounds very feasible. As we have reached Wednesday already, I am starting to doubt my source has it right. I would not have posted this unless I felt comfortable that it was correct and not BS. But like all things, there is no guarantee (and certainly not from a politician). I have no problem dying on my sword if there is no announcement this week, as long as an announcement is forthcoming soon.

Interesting angle in the JJohnson info re: having classrooms adjoined to the stadium so diff monies could be accessed. I believe that Cincy did this too when they expanded a few years ago. Classrooms and actually connecting buildings. Nice angle if possible. Yep, some form of rendering relating to a proposed site will be interesting when it comes.

Just a heads up... Check with my sources and I'm hearing similar things as well but no time and date set yet... Sounds like there nail all the details.

No worries... Again, I hope you are right and they don't wait until Homecoming. But something certainly happened this week with Weatherford's 'W'. Hopefully we don't get teased for much longer. My source was within Athletics but we'll see how that turns out.

To be fair to your source some stuff was posted on a VIP board this week verifying that a step in the process had completed over the weekend. So he may have assumed that meant something was getting announced shortly after?

The way I read all of this is, "YES! We are going to build a $200,000,000.oo stadium, we are going to build it right here(wherever that site is). Construction will begin just as soon as ya'll give us TWO HUNDRED MILLION DOLLARS."

Could be…I was not aware of that. Well, that sounds like a positive first step. Fingers crossed.

Thanks for update. Some may disagree but we really need this to happen. Not only for the future of the football program but also for psyche of athletics in general.

That's the way I see it too... I've heard nothing about funds raised, just location and that it seems they actually have details ironed out with the goal to be done by 2025 (suspiciously with the next round of realignment). So I have no idea where we are funds wise minus the 15mill for the football center portion that will be attached to it. 

Wish they would've opened a fund already... Sounds like they are confident they can raise what's needed (that the foundation won't cover) once they announce actual plans of what's going to happen and not just intent
