I mean yeah people have been talking about it forever but from fund set up to groundbreaking was four years without irresponsibility.

This isn’t a class Campbells soup label drive, campaigns kick off once you have enough money pledged to not fall flat on your face and embarrass yourself because no one wants to give to something no one else has given tremendously to.

Not really. Maybe I'm not hearing what others are. It took us how many years to get $20 million raised for the IPF? I saw mostly the same donors there. The big name that was there that I don't normally see at athletics events was Morsani. If a guy like him and if Vinik gets involved things could move more quickly. People on this board are the die hard fans. If there are 100 of us and we all gave $10k, we're 1% there. Not saying it can't or won't happen but I heard we should have one, students and the community deserve one. But I didn't take this as an announcement that it is imminent. Another factor on the plus side is Jay Stroman from the Foundation. From what I've heard he had convinced Curall of the importance of Athletics. Coming from the U of Georgia you can understand that. Sorry for rambling. One eye on the US Open and one on typing this.

I heard the same thing. People said an OCS would be good. I didn't hear anyone say we were getting the ball rolling on building one. Also, if everyone on here gave $10, I'd count that as a win based on where we're coming from.

Appreciate the insight.  I agree with you.  I'm taking it as a sign that someone over there is at least interested in making the moves to get us up to the big boys table.  I think it is pretty obvious that we will need someone with very deep pockets to take notice/interest for and OCS to actually happen.
