We had 7 scoring drives. I bet we haven't done that in a few years. Having a decent kicker makes a world of difference for a team that struggles to move the ball inside the 30s when the field gets short. I'm happy for him.

Interesting article in the Times today, by Purks, about Shrader and the Cincy game last year. Was 1-5 with 3 of the misses being from 40+ but missed a 33 yarder with 2 minutes left in tie game ..... and of course, Cincy kicked the 37 yard game winner as time expires. Defense had done a decent job of holding off Cincy in the 4th qtr so if we kick the fg, hold them to win a game against a ranked team, would that possibly have changed CCS's fate here ...................... Shrader's contribution in that game may outweigh the Memphis one.
