I hope you are right but nothing so far shows he is capable of doing that.  CJL loved the program and built it from scratch, if you don’t understand the affection for him than I am not sure you were much of a fan in the earlier years and enough with the choke or hit, he was high energy trying to get the most out of these young men, it was an effective approach until we became a nation of pussys, thanks California .

Dude has been here for like 200 hours with **** players. Jesus could not resurrect this program within the amount of time if he has been here.

God created the earth in less than 200 hours, Jesus rose from the dead in less than 100 hours so I beg to differ with your statement 😀.  I am not looking for a resurrection but they are markedly worse and no reason for optimism.  Yes he needs his players and time, but he has shown he is not capable of taking a bad team and making it better thus far, hopefully that will change.

CJL was a godsend but also a flawed individual - he built something from scratch and with quicker success than anyone AND loved the university, program and area more than anyone who will ever coach this team. On the negative side, he could only take the program so far (not necessarily a fault considering he built it from literally nothing but everyone has a ceiling), but didn't have patience for anyone who didn't share his vision (e.g. media, administrators and even players).

His quick success led to an inflated ego that led to poor decision making, but make no bones about it that guy was all-in on USF, to a fault.

Agree with all of that, an inflated ego for a coach is kind of par for the course.  He had a ceiling for a variety of reasons and hindsight is 20/20 but his removal will still go down as an awful decision.

And remember, Jesus only had 12 players on his team prior to some hard core recruiting...

If you ask me, I think Jesus got a lot of help from his dad.
