Does anyone remember comments year 1 with CWT?

I don’t exactly remember but I can’t recall if it was negative as this. I guess it probably was as Willie was moving us to a power game. I certainly don’t remember comments about shutting down the program or transitioning to a lesser conference m.

I think it may have been because the overall qb stable was in worse shape than our current one ...... because, in his first 4 games, besides the the historical loss to McNeese State, he also had our first ever loss to a non-Big 3 state of Florida team. We should have been off the the charts suicidal.

I don’t recall any talk of shutting down the program or lowering ourselves down to d2 but the talk back in year 1 of tags was centered around him dropping the concept of running a power run offense here and instead going to a spread style offense which he ultimately did in year 3

We lost thousands before McNeese.  That was just another milestone in the descent.

It was actually worse...nobody realized how bad Skip really left is after the opening game...at least we knew coming in things were going to take time this go around...

Well at least we believed/thought that Willie could turn a program around. With CJS we have no clue what he’s capable of. He doesn’t have many seasoned hands on staff either. So let’s hope his pop can help him get things back on track

People really need to relax... Anyone thinking this year was going to be any better than what it has been, is a waaaaayyyyyy better fan I will ever be... Enjoy the ride... we are in absolute full rebuild mode... like, play only Freshman and sophmores to get them experience rebuild mode....
