The worst lies are the lies we tell ourselves, I guess it helps people cope with what has happened by pretending good is bad but it does not make it true in the case of this any more than it does in the CJL case.

Because our people and presentation of USF to the Big East officials convinced them we were the best choice?  It was their choice, remember?  Or did you erase?  

Had we not at least played in a real conference early on we might be folded now.   Ivy League style athletics (especially football) would never survive in Florida/Tampa Bay area. 

We pursued greatness as all should.  We got a chance.  We didn't capitalize for many reasons.  This idea we should just play in our pen and hope to be the first to grab the binky is cute but will not sustain a program in Tampa.
