I can agree with all of this. There are plays where he seems afraid to come up and make hits. But hes who we got, and unfortunately, hes still probably better than our alternatives. And we have much worse starters than him, such as our Dline. 

My favorite post cJL safety was Jamie Byrd, he cracked heads like you're talking about.
