But if it doesn’t at what point does continuing to mount up scholarship athletes become a problem? My guess is if spring sports don’t get played that problem presents itself right about then.

This actually may help disperse talent across college football

The extra year will mean more grad students with remaining eligibility who can transfer where they wish

Also, Schools will need to be more selective in how they offer scholarships, meaning smaller programs may be able to land players who would have gone to a bigger program had a spot been available

Or more than likely smaller programs will shutter, bigger programs will be given exclusions to accommodate the changes, lesser players will be shown the door and mid range programs will be pushed further into insolvency by trying to keep up with the joneses. You can’t squeeze blood from a turnip and the ncaa is not going to enact any rules if not to benefit the biggest and best programs.

That is also a possibility - could be a record year for grey shirts

Well if some p5 conferences are playing and others aren't, maybe the guys want to play and make money. CJS needs to poach some p5 talent ?

Don’t think it will be 150. There will be players transferring, and a few maybe sitting out for the NFL (if there was a spring season). Also, Due to financial reasons, the program may simply not recruit as many players.

This will have to cause a problem for high school players the next couple years?? There will be a hiccup in the natural rotation of players in and out. 150 players on roster???  They better make that IPF bigger

We need to focus any income we generate on the IPF. We could cut players that are not pulling their weight, but that would scare off future recruits. Maybe we could recruit a few guys that need to improve their NFL draft stock.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
