Excellent point! One I have not seen before. At least keep this like a spring practice but going even longer would be great. Perhaps with a culmination scrimmage against another school.

There certainly won't be any paydays in the spring, so playing then won't recoup their lost revenue.  If $ is the driving factor then I don't think they will play until Fall 2021 (speaking just for the MAC conference, at least at the moment).

After today's MAC announcement two prominent Power 5 AD's tell CBS sports that it is just a matter of time until the 2020 college football season will be cancelled.

It has become financially irresponsible to play scholarshipped athletes.
