This virus is a huge joke, being used now primarily to drive the electorate to vote how the cosmopolitan elite want them to vote in November.

I am guessing that we support different political parties

We do seem to agree that individual response to the virus (use of masks, distancing, restriction of movement) has become a political statement

One day in the future we may get back to talking sports and not give 2 violation what political party anyone supports? At least I hope so because I am engaging in this nonsensical babble but have grown weary and long for this day.

While completely impractical, what if they only allows players who had already had and are clear of the virus and have built up some level of immunity to play?

Then you will see a bunch of corona parties in the next couple of weeks

I don't know if that could be proven true in time for the season .....

I think everyone looking at these restrictions and precautions are looking at it through the wrong lens. It isn't the fact that Covid-19 is LIKELY to kill student athletes, it is the fact that it COULD. Just imagine the backlash an athletic department would receive if they chose to eschew safety precautions and return to normalcy, only to have cheerleader or football player succumb to the disease. Again, it may be a small possibility, but we are talking about hundreds of athletic departments nationwide.

The same holds true for professional sports. The players aren't likely to get anything too debilitating given their level of health and athleticism, but the coaching staffs aren't that young and, a lot of times, not that healthy. Pat Mahomes will likely be fine, but would you have the same level of confidence about Andy Reid? It is going to be really fascinating to see how professional team leagues navigate these waters more from a PR perspective than anything else.

How can it not be a political statement to FORCE free citizens to follow orders. I finished my time in the military, I don't take orders from government anymore. If this was voluntary, I'd gladly follow guidelines.

I swore an oath to the constitution and freedom, not some cozy politicians. I will live my life as I see fit with no mask, since they are ordering us to. People who demand force be taken on people like me will be met with equal force. You are not my God.

If you live in Tampa, no one is forcing you to do anything. There are no fines, no detention, no jail time, no anything if you don't wear a mask.

Jane Castor passed a mandatory mask order unless I'm misinformed. Thankfully our favorite lawyer Leduc is challenging it

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
