He’s already won the locker room, can’t say that about Norvell.

Anytime I feel bad about our squandered opportunities I think back to FSU and how they are almost systematically destroying something that was a National power and then I just feel bad for us still.

You are assuming he actually wants to play in the NFL. Perhaps he has bigger plans than that.

This man has the ability and opportunity to help mold young men into good, mature, productive, responsible men. Football aside, these young guys no matter their race, are at a period in their lives that will present them with a crossroad at some point. Many are probably feeling a lot of pressure exerted upon them from many directions. CJS and the others hopefully, will guide them through all that is going on currently and prepare them for their future places in society. Hopefully, these young men will go on to make the right choices after their football years. Hopefully, USF's administration and it's professors will provide them with a balanced education. Maybe all who have influence over these young athletes will impart the truth w/o a politically biased slant.. Time will tell?? "Hopefully" is the word of the times..

It's good to see people associated with USF doing admirable things...

I hear what you are saying. Truth be told I was already impressed with KJ's maturity, but he has great leadership skills. The coaches can only do so much in terms of helping so many players become better men.  So its great to see some players stepping up as leaders on the team. I felt we have lacked "player leadership" since QF left and thats one of the reason we have been playing w/o heart. In the past, players like Selvie, Pierre-Paul, Auggie Sanchez, Deadrin Senat (very cool dude), Grothe, QF, Sam Barrington and others had that maturity and leadership skills that contributed to our more successful times.

He actually went on record last year saying that was his goal. But I dont think that is where his legacy will end.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
