He likes being close to his ailing mother, the heartless bastards on here wouldn’t understand that somethings make some opportunities more valuable to some people.

Im not sure what the debate is, but Taggart and Levitt made their "run" at "new opportunites". Im not saying its over for both, but they both have to be EXHAUSTED with moving to different cities for different jobs. FAU gives them both a stable situation that allows both of them to live in Florida. I give both coaches 3-5 years there minimum.

Load of crap.   Oregon was glad to be rid of him and if he left of his own will he wouldn't be getting a buyout.  Taggart didn't bring him to Tallahassee as DC.   The new staff in Tallahassee had no interest in retaining him.  FAU was his only real option

Actually Taggart made him an offer.  He chose to stay at Oregon instead of go to FSU.

Did he?  I know he was in the running (allegedly) for the HC job at Oregon and Cristobal got it over him

Tallahassee is and that and Boca which is are the last two jobs he has had since he announced that desire, the job before that was being the highest paid DC in college football.

If his mother is in Tampa neither Tally or Boca are close enough to provide care or see her that often. They are "close" enough to say you are taking them to be near your mother but far enough away you can't get there quickly or be able to see her daily, and even at best on a weekend.

Actually Taggart made him the offer. Oregon wouldn't let him out of his DC contract without a buyout after they hired Cristobal. FSU didn't want to pay a buyout for an assistant coach.

No, they were 2 AMBITOUS who went for a better opportunity. I'm sure if you found another job that paid twice as much as you make now and offers twice the benefits,  you would leave your job so save the hate. They both are older and happy to be employed in Florida. FAU has the strength of schedule to allow them the same opportunities as USF when it comes to making a NY6 bowl game. Taggart needs to sit at FAU and pad his coaching stats.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
