I've seen the same happen in corporate land as well.  I am not even sure what you call the phenomenon.

The “big” syndrome, named from the Tom Hanks movie.  Most of the time a company growing too quick and they promote someone inexperienced and unprepared to sit at the big boys table.  I don’t blame him, you strike while the irons are hot, he got paid and I believe eventually everyone was going to figure out he was a used car salesmen, so take the money before the truth came out, smart play.

This strikes me as momma from the Waterboy... "We don't need your foosball mr coach t!"

Seriously, I feel dumber for having read that, what was her point? And why? Is she saying that her son quit and now wants to go back since Tags is gone? In life, there are things you can't control. Show up, do what you can, or, change your situation. Same as NFL youngsters this year asking for a trade because they don't like their coach... suck it up buttercup. You signed to play for him, live with the consequences.

I don't think Willie is a good coach... I don't think he displayed that any better than the game we played against FSU at home. We could have won that game with better coaching, so, I was shocked that they hired him. BUT... by and large, I don't recall any of our players having issues with him. Seemed like he treated them well and went above and beyond to an extent to make them feel welcome (hence, QF having family dinners with the Taggart family). Maybe there is more smoke here than I see, but, I suspect the players didn't all hate him. They were probably all frustrated that they didn't win more, but, it was a bad situation.

As for being crazy to take that job... I'll do it... where do I sign? I'll do it for half the buyout!

Looking at both ends of this transaction, how much did FSU pay to Oregon to steal him in the first place?

If she could have written in English I might have actually understood what the hell the whole post was about.

We got pretty much dominated on both sides of the line of scrimmage as that game moved along, and they had the great Dalvin Cook.  I highly doubt any other coaching would have been able to help us in that game.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
