If we go 3 and 1 these last 4 games I'm guessing the people in my group would renew.  If we go 1 - 3 and look like we did vs SMU I'm kind of doubting they'll re-up.  Of course if we look like we did vs SMU we'll go 0 - 4.  

After the BYU game one couple said it was the first time they've seen an exciting game.  They used to come to 1 or 2 games a year but bought in for the whole season through us.

Yes, most, if not everyone, should be happy with a win on 11/29.

There are a good number of haters from what I see/hear.

You can say all it does is make donors happy but maybe its a university listening to its declining fan base, or wanting to further avoid the slide into irrelevance while their main rival is thriving, or maybe they thought removing a cancer now is better than later, or maybe the cost of the buyout was the same now as later, or maybe the AD knew Taggart had lost his trust and he could not continue, or maybe the decision was made in the best interest of the student-athletes.

There are always reasons not to do things. Doing something takes vision and guts.

It's almost like you are talking about USF.

Everyone understands.  He got paid.  He also got a shot at the dream job and failed.  You have to take your shot, but you can go for too much too fast.  I've seen the same happen in corporate land as well.  I am not even sure what you call the phenomenon.
