All I can say is, some people assume things will happen just because he's there. I knew things were going to be tough when someone said, “Hey, we can’t wait for Willie Taggart to produce a winner again!”

I’m like, he had Quinton Flowers. He had a lot of success, but when he left USF, he didn’t know what to do with it. He had no plan.

I think there is an interesting dichotomy in the views of Taggart's tenure at USF.  I take no particular delight in his firing by my other alma mater but I wonder if those singing his praises had any actual dealings with him.   From my experience I saw nothing that makes me nostalgic for that time.  And on the field his he had one good year, based on the overall record, an even that one was not outstanding and did not yield a championship.  There is no way to know where we would have been had he stayed here but I did not see the promise that some here projected.  Of course, having the AD from hades to chart the course didn't help.

Oh, I'm sure that Mr. Kelly is exercising patience and letting it play out, which is probably the right play and plays to my other point about firing being the easy way out.  But I also think if he had big money donors calling his office saying here's the money, fire the guy or we're out, then patience may become less of a virtue.

FSU was trending down and showing no signs of improvement. 

We have certainly been playing better and there are certainly signs showing our team is improving.

Sure, but there wasn't much improvement last year which was ccs' year 2 and it's kind of argumentative whether there really is improvement now or just more fortunate match ups.  I'll take W's either way

The issues from last year are well known.

This season saw an overhaul on offense, which is what most on here wanted. Installing a brand new system takes some time to show results. We have been starting to see better results over the last 4 games. Hoping to see that improve more the last 4 games.

Agreed, and I think Charlie gets another year even at 5-7. We'll see what the last 4 games look like, but as of right now, I'm ok with the idea of Charlie, Bell, & BJM being back next season. There is definite improvement, and I think Bell's system will good with time. I think BJM has done a better job than he gets credit for, for the most part. The more the offense sustains drives and keeps the defense off the field, the better they have looked. Get the passing game rolling, and this could look really good.
