I think it got set back because of the 2007-2008 Oklahoma game that ESPN offered them.  So you probably have to give at least partial credit to them  >

Tranghese: Miami Will Visit USF In 2009

TAMPA The University of South Florida's return game with the University of Miami in Tampa will be in 2009, Big East commissioner Mike Tranghese said.

The Bulls visit Miami on Saturday in the first game of a home-and-home series. When the contract was signed it was unknown when the return game would be played in Tampa.

Miami will be the only member of the state's original Big Three to play USF in Tampa. USF has two games scheduled at Florida in 2008 and 2009 and no games scheduled with Florida State.
