I just went and reviewed all the predictions. Guess what-- I WON with a point differential of 23 points!

45 - 28 = 17

20 - 14 = 6

total diff = 23

There were 4 people with a difference of 24 points and JimUSFSig screwed up by putting TWO predictions in his thread-- umm sorry-- it doesn't work that way Jim-- you should be disqualified although your HEART was better with only a 21 point difference. Tough-- this isn't the two prediction contest-- it's one shot, and you gotta take it.

So -- if you doubt my analysis-- feel free to go back and check the numbers. I'm pretty confident that I did this correctly and to the rules as we have had them since the inception of this contest.

No, not at all (at least not in this case  ;D).  But if you have been paying attention, two people have certified the winner in each of the last three contests...   :

If I did not seek an independent certification, people might believe I was giving you the win based on the fact that you are the site's Chief Photographer.  Trying to keep things looking on the up and up here.

Afterall, the prizes alone might lead to some folks sacrificing their integrity and moral clarity.  We can't afford Price Pfister or one of those other big accounting firms, so we use our home-grown certification system.
