Duh!  Since when has USF Athletics been limited to sending emails only to usf.edu  addresses?

...point went completely over your head. If someone who used to play, has always been able to show up and get tickets. Why would they all of a sudden update an email address when they didn’t know they didn’t have free tickets anymore...

It seems to me that an ex-player who wanted to make sure they stayed plugged in would have joined the Varsity Club.  They would've gotten all the information they would need for tickets and other events.

I can tell you that 70% of players don’t even know what varsity club is.

That needs to be an action item for the coordinator at Athletics, then.  It really should be no different than what the Alumni Association does for graduates to get them involved.

Considering the demand for the product I can understand the need to curb any freebies.

Or at least make some kind of pre-registration process for games and when the allotment is full its full.

I agree that our alumni players should have access, but if the supply deems limitations there should be a plan.

I didnt read every page and I'm sure it's been said, but last year they started giving one free ticket to Bulls Varsity Club members to any home game, any sport. $50 for the year, or in my case, $80 for a couple. Section 133 so decent seats.

Showing up to a game and not knowing would suck though.

I grad in 2006 and have always known about the Bulls Varsity Club. 3 kids later I've since dropped my season tickets and take advantage of the free tickets.

They should hold something similar to an exit interview that you might have at a former employer-- where they are introduced to all these types of things-- and perhaps even asked to provide a non-USF.edu email address for future contact. I would also suggest they give every athlete a free one year membership to the Varsity Club after they leave the school. This would give them the attachment to the group and the benefits of it to both educate them and also encourage them to continue the membership after that free year.

Not gonna lie. Me too. It’s actually my main email. When people ask what my email is and I tell them, I get the ol’ you still have that?!
