I understand the financials. It was a quip at the look he gave however, they did pay to travel down here and incur all the associated expenses only to get beaten. Soooo, .

I'm not sure you do. They get a set amount of money from USF for those travel expenses to Tampa. They were spending our money coming down here just like we will be spending their money heading to them. That is how home and home games work. It is in place this way- I believe -- from an accounting standpoint as it ties the revenues from the home game to the expenses of the team traveling. Some of these games are played several years apart.

 

PS-- I get your meaning though as far as the quip part but it had me puzzled since it fits a payday game more than this one.

They are a Puff5 team, they're supposed to win. We are and after though, "We stole their money!"

 

As for the contractual agreements, I believe that each team is allotted "X" amount of travel and necessity expenses per the contract and then they agree to either share both gates, keep their own gates or set amount of payment regardless of gate receipts received. I do not know the exact particulars in this current contract as I was obviously not involved. I'm not a financial consultant. Thanks for the side chat.
