Our run defense made it much closer than it otherwise would have been, and show me where someone on TBP was worried about their defense.  I don't think you can.

That doesn't fit the narrative for USF not being a good team.  Why would you say this?  lol  I agree

Exactly. This USF team has depth in the skill positions. I think this is our best team we have had in a long time. The D should get better and the offense should be hitting on all cylinders by the time we play Houston

Maybe because they have an awesome rush offense...

Not going to go through the threads but actually yeah... that was the only reason I knew they hadn't given up a touchdown is like some crazy amount of quarters going back to last year... until we scored on offense.  So while I'm not going to sit here and run through it, there were.  That just tells me you don't actually pay attention.

They need to wash over the teams abilities.

There will always be somebody that needs to put a negative twist on something regarding USF. Some people are so scared of being let down (Which has happened a lot with this team) that they keep their expectations low.

I think this is possible as well, and I was concerned about GT coming into the game, mainly because I had no idea how well we'd deal with their option, and I was worried about the lack of time Barnett had with the first-team offense. Houston on the road would be bigger than the GT win.

I don't think anyone is down about a win.  I just think some people see GT for what they are, which, IMO,  is exactly what NewEnglandBull said, a mid-level ACC team. Again, the coming weeks will answer all questions, but I'm going with 6 to 7 wins for GT.

Link?

2017 stats, they were 64th in total defense.  In their last two games, they lost to UGA 38-7 last year, and lost to Duke 43-20.  Opponents scored an average of 26.54 points a game against them.

Do you think those were all field goals?

I'm definitely paying attention to the fact you seem to be terribly mistaken on this topic.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
