Jimbo Fisher got blown out 47-17 in his 2nd ever game for FSU.

He started the year 3-6 last year with a 35-3 loss to Boston College.

I know all the Taggart haters love the result of his first game and will point to it as proof that they were right that he can't coach. Fact is he was left with a 7-6 team, an awful offensive line, and was playing a team who arguably has a hall of fame defensive co-ordinator (probably the best in college football)on staff. Anybody who realistically thought they would win every game is delusional. 8-4 with their schedule is more likely.

Do great things and no one remembers.  Do poor things and no one ever forgets.

CWT took a USF football program that was awful and changed the culture.  He left the program far better than when he was hired.

Go Bulls!

I’m giving you the benefit of the doubt on this one. You’ve been on a two month long hate bender with everyone and everything currently and previously associated with USF. I’m guessing you just got carried away with this post.

I haven’t said anything bad about CCS, CJL or any player past or present at USF. I haven’t liked the uniforms(sans the black ones) JK, CSH, Doug and CWT. If CWT didn’t start no 💩it won’t be no 💩. If his memory of his time here is sour my memory of his time here is the same.

Yes he did and I think everyone is grateful for that just as he should be grateful for what he has parlayed that success into. I think the contention lies in if he should be saying anything negative about us and if we should be forever in debted and forced to cheer all his future endeavors including ones at in state institutions we have always cheered against.

You didn’t think any part of last year’s failure at FSU had anything to do with losing their starting qb early on?

Imagine having expectations in your investment, so silly.

Just curious, how much have you invested in USF's athletic program?

Now that is just false.  We were #2 once. See I remember.

Zero dollars aside from any money spent at the two games I went to when we played them there.

I personally think it's ironic. CWT is a great recruiter, a good motivator, and a nice guy... But, he's not a good coach. Forget his first season here, I think the defining moment of him not being a good coach was our home game with FSU. He was completely out-coached in that game alone. Apparently the P5 arrogance clouded their fans' and administrations' memory of the game with them thinking they were just far superior to us, but, with a decent coach, that game was winnable for us.

I don't think CWT will fail. He's going to have a rough year probably, but, he'll do enough positive to make it to next year and keep showing signs of growth. I do think he has a low ceiling (relative to where FSU wants to be). He's going to be a 10-win coach when he gets his feet under him, but, he's not going to win many games where the opponent has equal or greater talent IMHO.

Hard to expect a return on investment with that kind of investment.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
